Theatre for Social Change Workshop

Have you heard about theatre for social change but don't know how it works?  Join us to experience how participatory theatre can build trust, engagement and dialogue around social issues in your community!  In this two-day workshop, participants will learn hands-on techniques from David Diamond's Theatre for Living and Augusto Boal's Theatre of the Oppressed, with a focus on group-building and problem-solving towards effective action.  These techniques are used around the world for social participation, community building, political activism, and conflict transformation.  The workshop is experiential, and the second day allows participants enough time to reflect and raise questions about the application of theatre for social change in their work contexts.
